Mojito drink and bar equipment

After my trip to Bali and a lot of party club
visiting, it really did opens my eyes for beautiful drinks
on the menu card.
So now i want to learn how to create them, and
first of all you really need the right equipment such as the
correct glasses, bar set, a party packet and of
course the drink ingredients such as Havana Club
or Bacardi Superior white rum. So I did buy some
bar equipment and glasses, and imported it to Denmark from Germany,
after receiving my packet from GLS, I did buy the
ingredients for my Mojito drink, at my local fruit pusher
who had the mint leaves, otherwise your daily food product shop has
the Havana club blanco rum, cane sugar and lime fruits. Here is my
recipe for the perfect Mojito, which fit into a 35
cl. drink glass, but try to add more of less of the ingredients to
find your own taste, it's very individual.
Mojito mixing recipe
- 2-4 cl. White rum (Havana club blanco /
Bacardi Superior)
- 4-8 Mint leaves
- 1½ Tablespoon cane sugar
- ½ Lime fruit
- Sparkling water
- Crushed ice
Start with the leaves, lime and sugar, and put it into the
glass, if you have a muddler, you can use it, otherwise you have to
mix it together somehow.
Afterwards you can pour 2-4 cl. (2 cl = 0.2 dl = 0.02 l)
white rum and sparkling water into the
glass. Crushed ice is of course very
important, and if you don't have a blender you can simple put the
ice cubes into a plastic bag and smash the ice with a spoon on a
table, that's a real bartender trick, or the correct
bartender style is to smash the ice cube in the
hand with the spoon, but my experience says that you need a bag for
it, otherwise you will get ice all over the kitchen or floor.Put
the crushed ice in the glass and mix it around with a normal or a
bar spoon.
The last and final touch on the drink is the
straw, which gives you the perfect taste of
freshness!
I have also embedded this video Bacardi Mojito
video, where you can fell the sounds of the making of a
Mojito!
It's the best summer-drink, it's very fresh,
great taste, cool to make and it looks quite
impressive when you make it in front of other people :o)
